Changing for Good receives funding extension
On the Line welcomes the news that Changing for Good will receive funding for an additional 12 months from the Department of Social Services. This funding extension will help the service continue to help men make long-lasting changes to their violent behaviour.
Changing for Good, delivered by On the Line, is a nationwide service that provides ongoing phone and digital counselling support to men who have completed a behaviour change program for domestic or family violence. Counsellors work with men to help them make and sustain changes in violent or abusive behaviours as well as the attitudes that support violent behaviours. The program is free and voluntary.
Kim O’Neill, Chief Executive Officer at On the Line, said, “On the Line is excited that Changing for Good has been granted the funds to continue for another 12 months. By working with men to end their use of violence, this program also helps to increase the safety and wellbeing of women and children who experience domestic or family violence. Changing for Good helps many people make a sustained change to their violent behaviour.”
