Created to meet the mental health needs of people across northern Queensland, NQ Connect provides free counselling and support for anyone who is feeling the pressures of everyday life.
The service was built to address the unique needs of the northern Queensland community, including the regional and remote population. The group comprises 675,000 people spread across an area of 510,000km². Help can be accessed in a variety of ways, including a 1300 059 625 helpline, web chat, and video counselling. All services are available 24/7.
In addition, NQ Connect provides a range of help-seeking resources, including:
- An online map-based community referral database.
- Dedicated self-help mental health resources in a freely accessible online library.
- Interactive self-administered Kessler K10 testing for depression and anxiety.
- An online mental health discussion forum.

The NQ Connect helpline and online services are answered by highly trained members of the counselling team, all of whom are qualified professional counsellors, social workers or psychologists.
