Our funding partners

Our funding partners come from a wide cross section of the Australian community – from federal and state government departments, to Primary Health Networks and industry peak bodies. On the Line works closely with these organisations to deliver effective services that meet the unique needs of each group.

Australian Government Department of Defence

On the Line delivers the All Hours Support Line (ASL) on behalf of Bupa and the Department of Defence. The support line is a confidential telephone service for Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families. It is designed as a triage line, linking callers to ADF or civilian mental health services. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ensuring accessible, professional support is available, whenever it is needed. This service includes the after-hours moderation of the DVA Australia and Anzac Centenary Facebook pages.

Australian Government Department of Health

On the Line is contracted by the Department of Health to deliver the Suicide Call Back Service and the All Hours Support Service (AHS). These services have been developed by On the Line to reduce suicide rates and the impact of suicide across Australia.

The Suicide Call Back Service is a 24-hour, nationwide service that provides telephone and online counselling to people who are suicidal, caring for someone who is suicidal, people bereaved by suicide, and health professionals supporting people affected by suicide.

The All Hours Support Service (AHS) is a specialist, telephone counselling service, designed to support patients of the Primary Health Networks (PHN) when their allied health provider is not available. On the Line works alongside GPs, mental health professionals, allied health professionals and PHNs to support patients at risk of suicide or self-harm.

Australian Government Department of Social Services

On the Line delivers MensLine Australia on behalf of the Department of Social Services. MensLine Australia is a national telephone and online support, information and referral service for men with family and relationship concerns.

MensLine Australia offers telephone, web chat and video counselling 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A callback service offers ongoing support through a service of up to six sessions. Additionally, the service provides counselling and support for people affected by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

On the Line also operates MensLine Australia Changing for Good on behalf of the Department of Social Services. Changing for Good is a program to help men stop using violence in their family and relationships. We work with men to help them recognise their abusive behaviours and end their use of violence. By providing ongoing support, specialist counselling and resources, our goal is to help men make and sustain changes in violent or abusive behaviours as well as attitudes that support violent behaviours.

Australian Government Department of Veterans’ Affairs

On the Line delivers the Open Arms – Veterans & Families Counselling After Hours Service on behalf of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). The service is designed to assist Open Arms clients to cope with crisis situations outside of Open Arms office hours, ensuring 24/7 service provision for veterans and their families. This service includes the after hours monitoring and moderation of the Open Arms and DVA Facebook pages.

Australian Institute of Conveyancers New South Wales Division

On the Line delivers AICNSW Care, a professional counselling phone service, from Monday to Friday 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Available to all AICNSW members and their families, the service helps those who are feeling the pressures and stresses of everyday life.

On the Line provides out of hours forum and social media moderation services on behalf of Beyond Blue.

Bupa

On the Line delivers Bupa Mental Health Navigation, a support referral line. Available to Bupa Health Insurance members who have an active hospital product covering themselves and their children, the service helps those who are worried about their child’s mental health.

On the Line delivers Regional Access on behalf of Country SA PHN. A 24/7 intake and assessment, low intensity counselling service for people who live and work in regional South Australia.

Professionally trained counsellors are ready to listen, support and encourage via the helpline, providing individual strategies to best manage situations and provide further support.

On the Line delivers a 24/7 telephone triage and counselling service for building and construction workers in high distress on behalf of MATES in Construction.

MATES in Construction is an organisation that works to reduce the high suicide rate among Australian construction workers.

North Western Melbourne PHN logo

On the Line delivers CAREinMIND Wellbeing Support Service on behalf of North Western Melbourne PHN. A 24/7 intake and assessment, low intensity counselling service for people who live and work in North Western Melbourne.

On the Line also delivers the CAREinMIND Suicide Prevention Service that provides intake, assessment and referrals to GP patients within the PHN region.

On the Line delivers NQ Connect on behalf of northern Queensland PHN. A 24/7 intake and assessment, low intensity counselling service for people who live and work in northern Queensland.

NSW Government

An initiative of the NSW Government, Step Together is a community advice and early intervention support service to help prevent violent extremism. The service offers a helpline and online service to anyone who may be concerned that someone they care about may be trying to effect change through violence. Our Step Together teams are trained to provide support, information and referrals to services that can help.

On the Line delivers NQ Connect: Operation Compass, a counselling helpline for current serving and ex-ADF members and their families in the Townsville region of Queensland. The service provides 24/7 phone and online counselling support on behalf of Operation Compass.

On the Line provides after-hours forum and social media moderation on behalf of ReachOut Australia.

Travellers Aid

On the Line delivers the remote Employee Assistance Line for Travellers Aid employees and volunteers, a 24/7 telephone counselling and support service.

Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services

On the Line delivers SuicideLine Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services. The service offers a 24/7 telephone and online counselling service for people at risk of suicide, people concerned about someone else’s risk, and people bereaved by suicide.

Western Sydney PHN

On the Line delivers the Connections Western Sydney Helpline, on behalf of Western Sydney PHN. The helpline provides a 24/7 intake and assessment, low intensity counselling service for people who live and work in the western Sydney region.
